Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 15 March 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Coding Elf Academy 6-week 1-on-1 mentorship program (the "Program") offered by Olga Ivanova (the "Mentor"). By purchasing the Program, you (the "Mentee") agree to these Terms.

1. Provider

Olga Ivanova, trading as Coding Elf Academy (sole proprietorship), Chodowieckistraße 27, 10405 Berlin, Germany. Email: olgacodingelf@gmail.com. For full legal details, see our Impressum.

2. The Program

The Program is a personalised software engineering and career mentorship designed to prepare the Mentee for their first software engineering role. It includes:

• An intro call to map the Mentee's background, goals, and a personalised roadmap.

• Up to two (2) live 1-on-1 sessions per week for six (6) weeks, each 60 minutes, delivered via Zoom, Google Meet, or equivalent. Unused sessions within a week do not carry over.

• A weekly technical curriculum covering JavaScript and Git, React, APIs, Node.js and AI integration, databases, deployment and portfolio polish — adapted to the Mentee's background and pace. If a different stack is desired (e.g. Python, FastAPI, Django), it can be agreed on individually.

• Three portfolio projects, or equivalent work on the Mentee's own project.

• Async support via WhatsApp, Discord, or Slack. The Mentor responds within 48 hours on business days (Monday to Friday), based on the Mentor's current timezone.

• Code reviews, mock interviews, and salary negotiation practice during scheduled sessions.

• A closing call to review progress and set a forward plan.

Additional sessions beyond the standard cadence are at the Mentor's discretion.

3. Contract Formation

The contract between the Mentee and the Mentor is concluded when enrolment is confirmed by the Mentor in writing.

4. Fees and Payment

The Program fee is agreed upon in a discovery call, payable in full via Stripe before the Program begins. The Mentee's card issuer handles any currency conversion.

As a small business within the meaning of § 19 UStG, the Mentor does not charge VAT on invoices.

The Program does not start until payment has cleared.

5. Refunds and Cancellation

The Program is a 1-on-1 mentorship with strict capacity limits. When the Mentee reserves a spot, the Mentor actively turns away other prospective mentees and dedicates preparation time and resources to the Mentee's onboarding.

Once the Program begins, or once the Mentee is granted access to the Mentor's proprietary curriculum materials and learning portal (whichever comes first), all sales are final and no refunds will be issued.

Choosing to withdraw from the Program, missing sessions, or changing goals does not entitle the Mentee to a refund, partial refund, or credit.

6. Mentor Obligations

The Mentor will deliver all scheduled sessions on time and prepared, provide personalised guidance based on the Mentee's background and goals, respond to async messages within 48 hours on business days, and keep all personal and professional information shared by the Mentee confidential.

7. Mentee Obligations

The Mentee agrees to attend scheduled sessions on time and prepared, complete assigned work between sessions to the best of their ability, give at least 24 hours' notice for rescheduling, engage with async channels in good faith, and keep proprietary materials, templates, and frameworks shared during the Program confidential.

8. Intellectual Property

All curriculum materials, templates, frameworks, written guides, and video content provided by the Mentor are the Mentor's intellectual property. The Mentee is granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use these materials for their own learning during and after the Program. The Mentee may not redistribute, resell, publish, or share the Mentor's materials with third parties without prior written consent.

All code written by the Mentee during the Program remains the property of the Mentee. The Mentee may freely publish, deploy, and showcase their own projects on GitHub, in portfolios, and in job applications.

9. Testimonials

With the Mentee's prior written consent, the Mentor may use the Mentee's first name, professional outcome (role landed, company, salary change), and a quoted testimonial in marketing materials. The Mentee may withdraw this consent at any time in writing.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Mentor's total liability under these Terms is limited to the Program fee paid by the Mentee. The Mentor is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of income, loss of job opportunities, or emotional distress.

The above limitations do not apply to liability for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health caused by the Mentor's breach of duty, damages caused by intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory German law.

The Program is educational and motivational in nature. The Mentor is not a recruiter, career coach, psychologist, or employment agency, and does not guarantee any specific career outcome.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

If the Mentee is a consumer resident in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive the Mentee of the protection of mandatory consumer rights in their country of residence.

The place of jurisdiction for any disputes, to the extent legally permissible, is Berlin, Germany.

12. Severability and Changes

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

The Mentor may update these Terms for programs sold after the update date. Terms that applied at the time of purchase continue to apply to that Program.
